WRs Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins have signed new contracts with the Bengals
Chase's $40.25 million yearly compensation is an NFL record for a non-quarterback.
These deals end years of talks for each participant. QB Joe Burrow, who has advocated for Chase and Higgins' new contracts, has secured his best targets.
Chase, 25, had one of the finest NFL seasons ever. The sixth player since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger to capture the receiving triple crown led all players in catches (127), yards (1,708), and touchdowns (17).
The team controlled all players for the season. Chase was finishing his rookie contract. Higgins was franchised again by the Bengals.
He sought a transfer before the 2024 free agency period after being franchise-tagged for the first time. Finally, the 2020 second-round selection played on the tag last season.
Chase and Higgins have new multiyear contracts, giving Cincinnati the playmakers to rebuild its championship chances.
