Ted Lasso confirmed for season 4 via significant plot twist

Ted Lasso, a hit comedy-drama series from Apple TV+, is back for a surprise fourth season; it is confirmed with one significant narrative twist.

Lead by Jason Sudeikis, the Emmy-winning sitcom finished its three-year run in 2023.

But Sudeikis, who plays the title warm-hearted comedy's idealistic, slightly naive AFC Richmond coach Ted, has disclosed that they are currently retelling the tale for much awaited new season.

"We're writing season four now," Sudeikis, 49, revealed on a recent Travis and Jason Kelce New Heights podcast episode. The official language is "that".

Additionally confirming his reprising of his part is the Hall Pass comedian, who also serves as an executive producer on the show.

While Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) filled in as assistant coach with coach Beard (Brendan Hunt), Ted returned home to America to handle personal matters in the season three finale.

"Ted's coaching a women's team," he said, shocking the Kelce brothers.

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis asked whether Ted will formally be back home in America in the next season. Sudeikis answered gently, "Yeah, that's too many questions."

Among Ted Lasso's other stars are Wild Child actress Juno Temple, comedian Nick Mohammed, Game of Thrones star Hannah Waddingham, and actor Phil Dunster from The Devil's Hour.
