Mississippi woman shocked to see herself in 'scary' 120-year-old painting may get DNA test.

After a stranger told an artist she resembled a woman in a 1909 picture, she was shocked.

Zinaida Serebriakov's "At the Dressing Table," was unfamiliar to 22-year-old Riley Madison Ladner. But someone messaged her on TikTok about the striking likeness. Riley initially ignored it, but after receiving more messages, she investigated.

Riley was surprised to see a near-identical self. The artwork shows a young woman with loose, dark hair at a dressing table. Due to the apparent resemblance in her looks, hair, and nightgown, she recreated the appearance.

Riley, from Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, said: "The similarity was eerie and unsettling. I'm a painter, so it was fascinating. The painting seemed recent, so I was startled it was almost 100 years old.

My spouse said, 'Oh my word, you have a nightgown just like that!' I deliberately wore it in the video, although I already owned it."

Some online jokes suggest she is a reincarnation of the painting's woman. Riley may take a DNA test to determine her relationship with the artist. She said: "I want to do a fun DNA test. Would be fascinating to determine if there's a connection or a coincidence."

As he auctioned his Banksy work, singer Mark Hoppus declared he was using his Blink-182 cash for good.

The musician collaborated with London's Sotheby's auction house to include Crude Oil (Vettriano) in their March 4 Modern & Contemporary Evening Sale. The piece is valued between $3.7 million and $6.3 million, but the previous owner's appeal could increase its value.
