Stimulus Check 2025 June: What Americans Need to Know About Trump’s “DOGE Dividend” and IRS Deadlines

Stimulus Check 2025 June: As millions of Americans continue to monitor stimulus check developments in 2025, speculation surrounding a potential fourth payment — or a new stimulus initiative — has re-emerged, largely fueled by former President Donald Trump’s February comments about a proposed “DOGE dividend.” Here’s where things currently stand.

No Official Fourth Stimulus Check Approved

Despite viral claims and misleading social media posts suggesting a new $2,000 or $5,000 stimulus check is on the way, there has been no official confirmation from Congress, the IRS, or the Biden or Trump camps regarding any fourth stimulus package.

The IRS has closed the window to claim all previous stimulus payments, including the $1,400 Recovery Rebate Credit from 2021 (associated with the third stimulus check).

The final deadline to file and claim that credit was April 15, 2025. Taxpayers who missed this deadline, even with a tax extension, are no longer eligible to receive the payment. Any unclaimed funds are now considered the property of the U.S. Treasury.

Trump’s “DOGE Dividend” Remains Speculative

At a policy summit in Miami earlier this year, Donald Trump floated the idea of a $5,000 “DOGE dividend” to be distributed to American taxpayers. According to Trump, the funds would come from a projected 20% government savings plan proposed under Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

However, no official framework, legislation, or rollout plan has been introduced since that announcement.

Experts warn Americans to be cautious of false claims, phishing scams, and unofficial “stimulus portals” that promise new checks in exchange for personal or banking information.

IRS Refunds Still Rolling Out

While no new stimulus payments are planned, tax refunds for 2025 are still being processed. If you electronically filed your federal return and included direct deposit details, you can expect to receive your refund within 21 days of IRS acceptance. Paper check refunds may take 6–8 weeks to arrive by mail.

To check your refund status, visit the IRS’s official “Where’s My Refund?” tool at IRS.gov, which updates once every 24 hours. You will need your Social Security number, filing status, and exact refund amount to access your information.

There is no approved fourth stimulus check as of June 2025, and any circulating rumors should be treated with skepticism unless confirmed by the IRS or the U.S. government. Americans still awaiting refunds should continue to monitor their return status via official IRS or state tax portals.
