After years of online petitions, fan campaigns, and social media pleas, McDonald’s has confirmed that Snack Wraps will be available nationwide beginning Thursday, July 10. The announcement came directly from Joe Erlinger, President of McDonald’s USA, in a cheeky two-word press release nodding to Michael Jordan’s 1995 comeback: “I’m back.”

The Snack Wrap will come in two flavors — Spicy and Ranch — both featuring McDonald’s new McCrispy Strips, made with all-white-meat chicken, wrapped in a soft flour tortilla with shredded lettuce and cheese.

The Spicy Snack Wrap brings a bold habanero kick, drawing flavor inspiration from the popular Spicy McCrispy sandwich. Meanwhile, the Ranch Snack Wrap offers a cool, creamy blend with hints of garlic and onion — perfect for fans of McDonald’s classic dipping sauces.

Customers can order a single Snack Wrap or enjoy it as part of a combo meal, which includes two wraps, medium fries, and a drink.

Originally launched in 2006, Snack Wraps developed a cult following before being phased out from U.S. menus by 2020. While slow kitchen prep times and inconsistent sales contributed to their removal, international versions continued to thrive in markets abroad — from BBQ and bacon to sweet chili and Caesar varieties.

The demand for a U.S. comeback never slowed down. A petition signed by over 18,800 fans, countless social media mentions (including from Slim Jim’s official X account), and nostalgic cravings have kept the Snack Wrap alive in public memory.

Now, nearly a decade after their departure, McDonald’s is betting big on the item’s return — tapping into nostalgia and customer demand during a time when fast food chains are doubling down on customizable, snack-sized options that blend convenience with bold flavor.

With Snack Wraps officially back on the menu this summer, fans won’t have to ask anymore — they’ll just have to queue up on July 10.
