Maharashtra SSC Results 2025: Girls Outshine Boys with 96.14% Pass Rate


Mumbai, May 13, 2025 – The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) today announced the SSC (Class 10) Results 2025, with an impressive overall pass percentage of 94.10%. Once again, girls have outperformed boys, boasting a 96.14% pass rate compared to 92.31% for boys.

Over 15.58 lakh regular students registered for the February–March exams across nine divisional boards—Pune, Nagpur, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Nashik, Aurangabad, Amravati, Konkan, and Chandrapur (formerly Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar). Of these, 15.46 lakh took the exams and 14.55 lakh passed, confirming a steady improvement in Maharashtra’s secondary education outcomes.

Top Performers & Division-Wise Breakup

  • Highest divisional score: Konkan (98.82%)
  • Lowest divisional score: Nagpur (90.78%)
  • Fully successful schools: 7,924 out of 23,489 registered schools

Private & Repeat Candidates

  • Private students: 28,020 appeared; 22,518 passed (80.36%)
  • Repeat candidates: 23,954 appeared; 9,448 passed (39.44%)

Special Categories

  • Divyang (differently-abled) students: 9,585 appeared; 8,844 passed (92.27%)
  • Subjects with 100% pass: 24 out of 62

Grade Distribution Among Regular Students

  • First Class with Distinction: 4,88,745
  • First Class: 4,97,277
  • Second Class: 3,60,630
  • Pass Class: 1,08,781

Year-on-Year Comparison

  • 2024 Pass Rate: 95.81%
  • 2025 Pass Rate: 94.10% (down by 1.71%)

Despite a slight dip, Maharashtra continues to maintain one of the highest SSC pass rates in the country, reflecting sustained efforts in improving school infrastructure, teacher training, and student support programs.
