Due to a knee injury that has kept her out of action for most of the season, LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne will not be able to compete in the Tigers’ last home meet of the year, which will be her senior night versus Georgia.
Before what would have been her last home meet at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Friday night, the gymnast and influencer posted a status update on Instagram. The next competition was scheduled to take place on Friday.
“Hello, my dear buddies! Since I have been struggling with an avulsion fracture of my patella, I will not be able to participate on senior night,” she stated in an Instagram story. “I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.” The fact that I will not have the chance to participate in the PMAC for the very final time is something that crushes my heart,” she said. Supporters of the Tigers, you have been very kind to me! Please accept my gratitude for the unending support, and as always, cheers to the Tigers!
Due to the injury, Dunne has not participated in any competitions since LSU’s defeat to Arkansas on January 24. During the remainder of the Tigers’ season, she did not provide any new information on her condition.
In addition to the conference finals, which are slated to take place on Saturday, March 22, and the NCAA regionals, which will take place from April 2–6, LSU will end its SEC play the following Friday against Auburn.
The Tigers, who are now rated second in the nation, are hoping to win another national title this year, and Dunne was a big part of the team that won it in 2024.
