Second-best quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft class behind Cam Ward is Shedur Sanders, 23. There are several NFL teams out there looking for a new quarterback with great long-term fit and upside possibilities. The Buffs standout has already made many NFL visits, including those to the New York Giants and the Cleveland Browns, who will choose second and third respectively.

His illustrious father and coach had earlier said vehemently that he would not want Shedeur to represent particular companies. Coach Prime has indicated the organizations he would be pleased for Shedeur to land at ahead of the NFL Draft next month and that his son already has his heart set on one.

“Shedeur has told me, he’s talked to me intently about all the visits he’s had with all the teams, so I know where his heart is, I know where he wants to go,” Sanders said in an interview with “The Skip Bayless Show.”

“If it’s New York, it’s New York; if it’s Tennessee, if it’s Cleveland, if it’s still the Raiders, if it’s New Orleans, if any of those clubs that are looking for a quarterback, I’m okay with it, dude. Knowing what he intends to do to the company, he said.

Like Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis in 2023, quarterback Sanders may, however, fall down the NFL Draft board, albeit it is not totally likely. With the Browns picking Abdul Carter out of Penn State after the team signed Kenny Pickett in free agency, CBS’s most recent “Mock Draft” sees Sanders possibly dropping as low as 26th to the Los Angeles Rams.

After bulking their quarterback room with veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, the site then features the Giants selecting two-way great Travis Hunter, Sanders’ Buffaloes teammate, at No. 3. Tommy DeVito is also re-signed by the Giants.

At the NFL Scouting Combine, Sanders was also described by an NFL coach as “arrogant” and “brash”. Coach Prime has said he has found the coach who conducted the assessment. “That was a lie,” former Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons player Sanders commented on speculations regarding his son.

“You know me; I’m going to find out; hence, I contacted that team since I followed it and identified who it was. I phoned the head coach, and we had a frank exchange. And he said, “Prime, that never happened.” Actually, the interview was quite excellent. That never happened.” “Yeah, but this guy on your staff said it did and lied,” I said. You so have to check him. He did check him as well.
