New York: Legendary host David Letterman isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Netflix has officially renewed his acclaimed talk series, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, for two more seasons, taking the Emmy-winning show through Season 7.
The streaming giant confirmed the renewal this week, noting that Season 6 will premiere later in 2025, with Season 7 already in development. While exact release dates and guest lineups remain under wraps, fans can expect more of Letterman’s signature long-form interviews with some of the world’s most fascinating figures.
Launched in 2018 with former President Barack Obama as the debut guest, My Next Guest has featured powerful conversations with names like Robert Downey Jr., Tina Fey, Malala Yousafzai, Charles Barkley, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and most recently, WNBA star Caitlin Clark.
The show, known for its depth and sincerity, has become a standout in the nonfiction space. In 2024, it won the Emmy for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special and has received a total of six Emmy nominations to date.
Now entering its sixth and seventh seasons, the show continues to blend Letterman’s unmistakable wit with thoughtful dialogue, giving guests the time and space to open up in a way rarely seen on traditional talk shows.
