The actress Angel Reese, who plays Chicago Sky, has voiced her disappointment that CBS has decided to terminate one of her favorite television shows. Following the news that Poppa’s House had been canceled by the network after only one season, the forward expressed her dismay on the internet following the news.

In October of 2024, the sitcom that featured Damon Wayans and his son Damon Wayans Jr., who was actually Damon Wayans, had just introduced itself to a great deal of excitement. On the other hand, it was not sufficient to guarantee a second season, which was the most disheartening thing for Reese.

The sitcom Poppa’s House followed Wayans as he navigated his unexpected retirement as a talk show host. However, his life was thrown upside down when his son, Wayans Jr., who had recently divorced, moved in with him. On social networking site X, Reese sent an emoji of a sad expression in response to the news that the show would be eliminated from the airing schedule.

At this point in time, Reese’s star power is so strong that her post that made a reference to the program being canceled was seen more than one hundred thousand times.

On X, Reese has an astounding 688 thousand followers, but on Instagram, she has an astounding 4.8 million followers, making her the most popular player in the Women’s National Basketball Association.

Reese’s Instagram stats were so impressive that they even eclipsed those of Caitlin Clark, who was the second most popular user with 3.1 million followers. She was then followed by Paige Bueckers, the new point guard for the Dallas Wings, who has 2.3 million at this time.

Sabriana Ionescu, who plays for the New York Liberty, finished with 1.4 million pounds, while A’ja Wilson, who plays for the Las Vegas Aces, and Hailey Van Lith both have 1.3 million pounds. Reese will now be joined at the Sky by her former teammate from Louisiana State University, Van Lith, for the upcoming season, which will begin in May. This comes as a result of the WNBA draft.

Van Lith, a former player who won the National Championship twice, played college basketball for a total of five years. She played for Louisville for three years before moving on to the LSU Tigers, where she won the national championship, and then she played for Texas Christian University for her final year of college eligibility.

Van Lith has now acknowledged that she was looking forward to teaming up with Reese in the WNBA, and she has expressed her admiration for the 22-year-old player.

“Angel has maintained contact with me this whole past year since she’s been in the league and I transferred,” according to her statement.

It is my sincere gratitude to her. A very mature connection exists between us, one that is characterized by a high level of mutual respect. In this relationship, we both value each other’s game, as well as the character and the person that we are outside of the court.

“Most of all, I’m just thrilled to be able to spend time with her once more. On the subject of how we hold ourselves and how we think about the things that are significant to us, I believe that we share a lot of similarities.

You should also know that she is a dog. Everybody around her becomes more intense as a result of her actions. It is very exciting for me to be in that setting with her once more, because she has the ability to extract more from me than I believe I am capable of.
